Kristian Zahl brings extensive leadership experience in the oil services industry and capital markets to his role as a board member of EMGS.

He previously served as Senior Vice President EMEA at EMGS ASA (from 2014 – 2018), where he held key operational and commercial responsibilities. Mr. Zahl has 20 years of experience in strategy, business development, banking, and management, primarily within oil services. His prior roles include positions at Paradigm Geophysical, Axxis Geo Solutions, and Cyviz, as well as banking experience at SpareBank1.

He has significant capital markets exposure through executive and operational leadership in listed companies, including interim CEO and COO roles at Fjord Defence Group ASA / Aquila Holdings ASA, where he is currently involved in strategic transactions, acquisitions, and public market activities.

Mr. Zahl holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim. He also completed non-degree studies in entrepreneurship and venture capital at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business.
