21 April at the Hydrocarbon Habitats No. 1 seminar in Stavanger, EMGS’s Stein Fanavoll presented a talk titled “3D seismic and CSEM data provide new opportunities in the 23. round acreage”.
Stein Fanavoll is technical advisor at Electromagnetic Geoservices ASA (EMGS) and he used his presentation to give a sneak peek of EMGS’s 45,000km2 multi-client data library in the Barents Sea.
In addition to presenting CSEM data calibrations of important wells in the Hoop area, Fanavoll demonstrated how multi-client CSEM data can be used to de-risk areas for the 23rd round.

Fanavoll was one of several industry experts invited to speak at the Hydrocarbon Habitats No. 1 seminar, which was organized by GEO Publishing and the Geological Society of Norway. The seminar had the theme “Novel Exploration Ideas in 23. Round Exploration Acreage”.
